Mid-Summer update.
July tournament update: ToDai Travis Sink and Sifu Jesse S.
Jones attended and competed at the ICMAC Kung Fu Championships in Orlando July 15.
Unfortunately, we were only able to make it down for the Sunday events, which
were continuous sparring and Sport Sanda. In addition Sifu Ken Elliot, SiBok
Regan Smith and ToDai Evan Seymour from Sport Kung Fu Academy Jacksonville came
down to compete as well.
Results:
Continuous Sparring Division:
Todai Evan Seymour: Silver Medal/second place Beginner Men Under
165lbs.
ToDai Travis Sink: Bronze Medal/third place Beginner Men
Under 165lbs.
SiBok Regan Smith: Gold Medal/first place Intermediate Women
Over 135lbs.
Sifu Ken Elliot: Silver medal/second place Advanced Men
165-185lbs. (Sifu Ken dropped down an age group to fight.)

Sifu Jesse S. Jones: Bronze Medal/third place Sport Sanda

This was both Evan and Travis’s first tournament, both
fought very well and represented both schools and their Sifu’s well. We are
very proud of everyone that came out and competed.
On another note, Sifu Jesse will be guest instructing at
Sport Kung Fu Academy Jacksonville on Saturdays for the next several weeks
while Master Anthony Arnett is in Australia completing his next Master Level
and Instructing at the Global Traditional Wing Chun Association Headquarters in
Melbourne with Grandmaster William Cheung.
